Remembering on Good Friday

When the EF4 tornado happened in Murfreesboro in 2009, on Good Friday, 500 feet away from my house while I huddled terrified in my bathtub, a 30-year old mother and her 9-week old baby perished two houses away from me. I will always remember them, how close the mother was to my own age, and how unfair it was. Her parents had put the child in a carseat and hidden in the interior hallway to be safer. This Good Friday I think of them, and the girl who never lived to be three.

I'm so sorry for the little family. Nature can be very beautiful and very cruel. I'm just thankful that you were unharmed. It is very good of you to remember the others, Ingrid.
