Cube news

No one probably cares, but after eight months, the Astor Place cube has returned. In my very bad photo, i'ts in the botttom right corner (there's a yellow sheet over it). I walk by this cube every day so I missed it! The cube, created by artist Tony Rosenthal, was installed in 1967 but only supposed to be up six months. Instead, it became permanent. But it has been gone for a long time for restoration or something. Hereis a good article about it.

Great on the ground cube reporting, Mae. I've been following that story on Gothamist, since it something I see whenever I visit you.
