A tree grows on Wilton Drive...

The 150+ year-old white oak in our front yard appears to be succumbing to the effects of insect infestation brought on by our severe drought. We noticed a large dead limb a couple weeks ago and had it removed. These leaves have turned brown in less than 2 weeks, so it seems to be happening fast.

Oh, that's so sad, we always used to get our photos taken in front of that tree when we were little and its such a beautiful tree. Maybe I'll find a tree trunk-background photo and scan it it and post it soon...I can't imagine the front yard without it.
