Kitchen Music

This afternoon we had an old time jam in our kitchen with a fine bunch of "old timers". It was a real reunion of friends, some of whom have been playing music together for 30 or more years. There were fiddles, banjos, mandolins, string bass, ukuleles and guitars. The occasion was prompted by the visit of our friends, Lewis and Katie from Asheville, NC. They were part of the original Stone Mountain Country Band and, later on, the Peavine Creek String band which is still going strong after 20+ years. The tradition of music making at home still lives on! Come and join us sometime!
