Lives of Others

I recently got the chance to see Lives of Others, a German movie about the secret police, or Stasi, in East Berlin in the 1980s. Its really good, and last night it won the Oscar for best foreign film.

If it comes to your cities, you should definitely go see it!

Next up for me is "Rendez Vous with French Cinema" a film festival of French movies that happens every year. I'm going to see three this year, including a biography of singer Edith Piaf and "Tell No One," which just won a Cesar _ the French version of an Oscar.

Yay movies.
